Artworks & Swim Projects
Currently living in Berlin, I was raised in the English Lake District, and grew up swimming in its rivers and lakes. I hold two world-swimming records and along with my brothers, was nominated for a WOWSA (World Open Water Swimming Award) in 2015. My artwork has been exhibited in Berlin, London and Toronto.
I use endurance open water swims through landscapes to structure and inspire my art projects. Working in the Arctic Circle, Atlas Mountains, Scottish Highlands and the Cumbrian lakes, I trace lines through landscapes then swim these routes, experiencing places physically and psychologically before mapping them artistically.
